I'd been meaning to come here for some time and it did not disappoint. The gaslight lager is very light and crisp and the Bär with strawberry is perfect and refreshing for the summer. The fact that we have a brewery this close and by a barbecue joint is amazing.

For those waiting on orders via Slaps, instead of just standing in line, why not stop by for a drink since it's right there?

Outlaw Cigar & Brewery in Kansas City MO is absolutely fantastic! The combination of a cigar store, lounge, brewery, and event location is amazing. My family, friends, and I visited Vine Street Brewing one evening and had a wonderful time reconnecting over excellent brews. We tasted pretty much everything they had on tap and ended up taking a few selections home with us. The main reason I'm giving this 4 out of 5 stars and not five out of five is because for Brewery it doesn't have a lot of beer choices. Love the location, the building was extremely cool, and the vibe of the place was awesome. I just wish they had more choices. There's a really cool historic Castle across the street that you can go explore. The building itself is really cool and it looks like there might be a party space you can rent. And there's also fun art to look at. I would probably go back again but just for one beer. They also had games you could play while you were there. I think it's a really cool function for that building.

Very cool event space. I went for a specific American Home Brewers Championship winners announcement. The beer was good with multiple bars. However, there were only a few beers there that were unique to the brewery and you couldn't get elsewhere. I would have like to see more unique beers there that would make it feel like a special trip. Amazing brewery that makes my favorite beer. Space Camper and all its iterations are delicious. There are two floors, with a gift shop and mini museum on the first floor and a beautiful sprawling taproom upstairs. We went in June and the place was decked out for Pride month. Boulevard Brewing Tours and Recreation center offers a perfect hang out to enjoy the iconic Kansas City Boulevard Brewery brews alongside a gathering of your favorite friends and family. Booked the beer tour. $17 per ticket. 5 beers come with this. Two were great, the rest were mid / wouldn’t drink them again. Tour guide was good. Fun experience, got to learn about the brewing process. Was with a friend who was a couple minutes late. They took her ticket, which you can turn in for 2 free beers, and gave her just one free beer ticket. It was very odd considering she technically paid for the 5 beers that come with the tour. We drove past this place several times when the Broadway extension was closed. We finally got an opportunity to visit last week and I am so happy that we did. Great patriotic atmosphere. Comfortable and ample seating. The beer was delicious and the bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. There is food available from the restaurant next door that you order on a pad near the door. We did not eat, but the young veteran that we sat by at the bar was eating some nachos that she said were amazing. I highly recommend this place and cannot wait to meet some friends there soon.

Enjoyed my first experience here! First impression is a laid back somewhat dive bar vibe that definitely supports veterans and first responders. I even see on their website that they welcome ways to collaborate to honor military, veterans, and first responders.

I went with a couple of lighter beers—the Freedom Lager and the Screaming Eagle Cream Ale—that I found to be as easily drinkable as say a Miller Lite (similar texture) but with great unique flavor. I rated them both highly and would recommend.

Ok so I'm from San Diego and I came here for a girls weekend. My buddy recommend we're go here and wow was I ever impressed. I got the on tap hazy and the peach cider. Alma Mader consistently holds or competes for the "best brewery in KC" title. Their expertise across a variety of beer styles is nearly unmatched — they can knock out a killer Hazy IPA, but also make expertly crafted lagers, and even decadent imperial milk stouts on a regular basis. I don't think I've ever had a beer from them that I didn't enjoy or recommend to others.

The brewery space is clean, bright and airy. It's not huge but definitely feels open and spacious. When the weather's nice, they recently added an outdoor seating area where you can soak up some sun while sipping on beers, and they'll often raise a large garage door in the side room to make things feel even more open. There are a handful of N/A beverage options and a few snacks on the menu as well.

Honestly, you won't find anything crazy or excessive in the Alma Mader taproom, but they don't need it. They make some of the absolute best beers in the city, if not the region, and provide a comfortable and welcoming space to enjoy them with friends and family. A must-stop if you consider yourself a beer person!

Update Visit: Revisted friday with the same friends.  Had the Octoberfest beer, which was quite good and some burgers from next door.  The environment is still very loud and they have done nothing to reduce the noise and echoey hard surfaces as the next door restaurant has.  Love the outdoor tables and close food, but indoors is way too loud for our group. 3.5 stars.

Visited on a Friday with 2 friends.  They only had 2 beers of their own the rest were guest taps.  They had their Czech lager and Kolsch.  Both were good beers true to their style.  The taproom was very noisy, due to all of the hard surfaces.  They also had music playing adding to the noise level.  Decorations were sparse, and it appears the brew area is not quite finished.  I'll give them another try later when they have more of their own on tap and hopefully they can address the noise level in some way.

This area has really developed and still continues to be expanding. Stopped in on Friday after they opened at 3pm. I wish they offered any sort of food options, but we did order a pizza and a pretzel from the pizza place they share a door with. The beer was decent. The beer I ordered was supposed to be 16oz, but it ended up being 12oz. The atmosphere is a bit frigid, but not in terms of temperature. Not a bad experience overall, but I can't see myself making an effort to visit again.

Stopped in with a co-worker this afternoon to grab a couple of beers and watch golf.  Cool space and great service from the bartender!  Enjoyed the Hazy IPA and the Hefeweizen.

Fantastic local spot! The atmosphere at 39th Street Brewing is hip, comfortable, and urban…perfect for a relaxed night out. The beer is top-notch, especially the Hefeweizen, which was absolutely amazing. They have trivia on Tuesdays.  Definitely coming back. Highly recommend.

We took the tour for a friends birthday, then hung out and enjoyed the food and beer for a few hours

The tour was absolutely amazing. For a price of $10, most of the people were a bit tipsy and educated on the brewing process. Definitely worth it, and I’m thinking about making this a recurring tour visit.

The beers are all great and very purposeful. Whether you’re a novice or a beginner, the education is amazing.

Outside of the tour, the staff is on top of it and willing to do whatever it takes for you to have a great experience.

I loved my short visit to the Kansas City Bier Company. Tried the Eiz Weiss and loved it. Spicy and complex – a full bodied darker wheat beer. The atmosphere was friendly and upbeat. The space - with high ceilings - is quite airy with a European beer hall. Feel to it. Something like modern German. The bar is well designed. Long table seating is reminiscent of those German beer halls. I’ve enjoyed every beer I’ve had from the Kansas City Bier Company, and I’m looking forward to more innovation from them in the future.

So many good things happening here! I am not a beer drinker 🤣 but took my husband for a birthday date. I have to say I did really like the cherry cider and appreciated that they had a non alcoholic option that was served just like all their other drinks. Also the plant lover in me was all about checking out all their spider plants and big beautiful babies everywhere! We found a big comfy couch to chill on while ordering food on the iPad at the door for the BBQ place next door. This is a great dog friendly microbrewery in North KC that includes a very neat outdoor patio area with plenty of places to grab a picnic table and hang out. They have outdoor games like bags and boards, as well as a small shaded patio area closer to the door.  It wasn't very crowded when we were there but seems like it could handle a decent sized crowd.

The beers were great! I had the Weathered Wit (a wheat beer) and The Block IPA.

No real food options but you can easily order BBQ from the restaurant next door which is a nice touch.

This is a nice brewery. It attracts a younger crowd, but it was pleasant and enjoyable. There are 3 "rooms", the main room, a quieter side room and the outside.

The place was clean, the staff was friendly and willing to give samples, and the side room was quiet enough to chat without yelling.

The beers I had all had a very distinct grain flavor as their base with "style" flavors on top.

The ciders were very flavorful and refreshing.

Great quiet laid-back place to relax,  watch sports or "people watch" while enjoying a drink! Great micro brewery with some tasty selection of beers and ciders. The atmosphere here is the main reason to come as it has a super chilled atmosphere with lots of cool areas including sofas, darts, shuffleboard, a movie projector, etc. We initially planned to have just one drink and finished with four as the spot was just super cool.

Crane Brewing is our favorite little off the trail place to go after a beautiful ride on the Rock Island Trail. Their hopped lemonade is delicious and my husband loves the house beer. Quaint is a great word for this place. The food is good too for a snack after a bike ride. Today, the ONE person who was working a packed house by himself did a great job! No bad attitude from him even though the line was continuously out the door and every table was full. We will be back but please get your guy some help!!

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed my favorite local place before! We’ve been stopping in here for several years now. We love stopping in here after our bike rides or runs. Super convenient being located right on the Rock Island Trail in Raytown. The staff is wonderfully friendly. It has bike parking. Outdoor seating in nice weather. And now that the parking lot is getting paved, that will be so much nicer to sit outside with no dust! They keep coming up with new drink mixes and flavors, so even if you are not a beer drinker, there is something you’ll love! The wine slushees are especially tasty on a hot summer day!

Breweries are my jam! So when I found out Crane had their own, I had to come! I love the homeyness this brewery gives! Tried their Vast Lands at a Hyvee, & fell in love instantly! We had an excellent time at Crane. The space is small, and even more restricted due to COVID safety guidelines. The staff were masked and otherwise following safety guidelines. They do have the rolling garage doors to open it up, and they also have patio seating when the weather cooperates with each.

We had three beers each, and liked them all. I've always thought Crane brewed almost exclusively sour beers, and was glad to find they have been able to expand that to accommodate other palates. We each had three beers and liked them all. We had some chips and salsa to snack on while having most of our beers; and once our order from Harp BBQ next door was ready, we brought that into Crane to enjoy with another beer.

The entrance and restrooms are semi-accessible. Restrooms are gender specific. There isn't really dedicated parking, but there's plenty of street parking as this is in an underused business area.

One of my favorite local places. With the staff changes or whatever is going on it's just not the same. Decided to try a brewery new to me and this one is definitely a winner. The layout is fun with lots of good seating options and with multiple TVs, this would be a good place to catch a game.

Pulled up a seat at the bar and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful and quick. I started with the Lakeside Kolsch and loved it. Then I tried the Prox-City Amber Lager…even better! I really could not have loved these more, immediately cementing this as a top 2-3 KC brewery for me based on what I’ve tried so far.

They have a nice array of beers but serve good looking cocktails and food as well. Would love to return!

I can’t say enough good things about City Barrel, definitely our favorite brewery/restaurant in KC. It’s hard to choose if the beer or food is better, they’re both incredible!  Rad AF is the best beer in the city and every variation of grilled cheese they make is unreal. We have been here many times and have never had anything but a great time. We have had so many amazing experiences and memories here, including our rehearsal dinner; Joe and his team far exceeded our expectations and we could not have asked for a better evening. We moved out of KC about a year ago and at least every couple days we talk about how much we miss City Barrel. This will be our first stop when we get back into town! City Barrel is always my first dinner/lunch recommendation when asked, I haven’t met anyone who didn’t like it.

KC was an overnight stop and we topped off our mini brewery tour with a coffee stout, which I had seen on their website. I thought what a fabulous idea to combine brewing coffee and brewing beer in one business!  I HAD to try the coffee stout for which Rochester is its OWN collaborator. Didn't disappoint. Took advantage of Thursday's special Buy a Draft and get a free ($3.50) Taster of your choice. Delicious looking pastries were still available at end of day. Im sure their coffee is amazing. Laid back vibe invites locals to come for coffee in the mornings and Happy Hours after work. Check them out if you are in town.
