Freshly brewed, drafted in front of you, beers are available according to what has been produced.
Tried a couple of options, got positively surprised by both. A small stand outside prepares nice burgers (no veg options).
Next time in Houston I’ll book some time again to come here.

Their food truck ran out of food the evening we were there and that was a bummer because we had to find another place to eat.

They have a parking in the back which is convenient. The open seating in the front is nice specially when a nice breeze is blowing after some rain.

The beer was good. I wish they had a flight option but they do serve 4 oz portions which sort of made up for it.

Big Owl Craft Brewery is hands down one of my favorite spots just outside the Heights. I've been coming here for a couple years now, and it never gets old. They’ve got an awesome selection of beers, always something new to try, but I still have my go-to favorites.

What really makes Big Owl stand out, though, is the vibe. Whether it's Lotería nights, Free Taco Fridays (yes, really), or hanging with the run club crew, there’s always something fun going on. It feels like a true community spot, laid back, welcoming, and full of good energy.

Love that they're locally and Hispanic owned too. You can really tell how much heart they put into everything. If you're into good beer and good people, you’ve gotta check this place out.

This place is the perfect spot to catch up with friends and enjoy a delicious craft beer. Its cozy couches and decor is warm and inviting and when you’re at the bar, it’s hard not to make friends with the cool beertenders. The owners are regularly present and take pride in their establishment- it definitely shows!

They don’t have food on site, but many times there will be a vendor posted up outside with tasty food. They host weekly events, and there is always something to do here!

🍻 Saint Arnold Brewing Company – My First Time, But Definitely Not My Last!

I came to Saint Arnold Brewing Company for the Houston Barbecue Festival—my first time at the event and my first time visiting this brewery—and all I can say is: how did I not come here sooner?!

The venue is massive and full of character. Inside feels like a beer-lover’s cathedral, with high dome ceilings, communal tables, cozy corners for families or groups of friends, and a long central bar where strangers can turn into drinking buddies in no time. The whole vibe is welcoming, relaxed, and somehow both epic and casual at the same time.

Even though I came for the all-you-can-eat BBQ and beer festival (which was amazing, by the way—hello endless brisket and ribs), I couldn’t help but fall in love with the brewery itself.
They offer a huge variety of beers, including light, fruity, and creative options for folks like me who don’t normally drink beer, but found plenty to love. The beer flights were flying out to tables left and right, and everything looked delicious—especially the pizza I saw coming out of the kitchen. Definitely planning to come back just to try that.

Outside, there’s a large, shaded patio with seating, live music, and even a play area for kids, so parents can relax while their little ones stay entertained. During the festival, there was also a market area with local vendors and fun finds—think t-shirts, small gifts, and boutique-style items you’d usually only see at a cool outdoor market.

Bottom line: Saint Arnold Brewing Co. isn’t just a brewery—it’s a full-on experience. Whether you’re coming with a big group, on a casual date, or just swinging by with a friend, this place delivers. I can’t wait to come back and explore more outside of the festival.

We went for lunch after a morning trip to Houston. Good food, good atmosphere.

We had an awesome time visiting Saint Arnold Brewing Company in Houston, Texas. From the moment we arrived, the place had a cool vibe—those classic cars on display were a fun and unexpected touch!

The brewery tour was fantastic, and a big shoutout to Austin who led the tour with energy and humor—he kept us informed and entertained the whole way through.

Amazing place to visit. An event with a band was held outside and we all had a blast. As a sober individual you still have options like the hop water, lemonade, ginger beer, etc. The food was delicious! I have been here twice! If I lived closer, I would come by every week! The beers are delicious, even if you aren’t a big beer person, I recommend this place! The beers are delightful, staff is friendly, and food is good! The first time I came, my boyfriend dropped his ring. We called about it and the staff found it and let us pick it up the next day! Social Beer Garden HTX was a wonderful space to host a happy hour for our healthcare non-profit organization, where we gathered 15-20 individuals. The managers Rob & Myles were extremely accommodating, communicative and helpful! Each time I had a question, they were a quick phone call or email away, plus their attentiveness was unmatched. The space and venue itself is large, clean and organized. Upstairs on the second floor there is a pool table along with other entertainment, including an outdoor rooftop. We had our happy hour on a Thursday, which was their steak night and trivia night. There were a few food options, I went with tamales and they were very delicious!! We had such a good time!

Overall, this is a great place to host a gathering, whether it’s a corporate or smaller gathering. It’s also a great place for individuals to play trivia and find entertainment. Lastly having food options was a plus and their lengthy drink menu was impressive.

10/10 would recommend! Thank you Rob and Myles for your hospitality. We will definitely be back!

I recently hosted a big event here (Beyond the Covers Book Fair) and I cant say enough good things about the entire experience. I wish there were more stars. The venue is amazing for a fun event with plenty of options and space for lots of vendor booths, the staff is incredibly welcome and kind and flexible (and they made some amazing special cocktails for my event). Absolutely loved our visit to City Acre Brewery! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel right at home--warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. The new menu is full of exciting and creative options, and we had a hard time choosing what to try first (a good problem to have!).

The handcrafted sodas are a unique and refreshing touch, and the beer? Outstanding. You can really taste the care and craft that goes into every pour. We were lucky enough to chat with the brewer--charming, passionate, and clearly dedicated to making the experience special for everyone who visits.

And the food! The burgers are absolutely next level--made in-house, juicy, flavorful, and perfectly paired with the brews. You can tell there's a lot of heart behind everything they do here.

This place is a brewery and they do a great job at that. Atmosphere is great as well. I decided to go there today for their steak and eggs. The potato, while the portion was tiny, was pretty good. Sunny side up eggs a little under cooked but not the worst. They don't know how to cook a medium steak.
I understand a lot of people like them, medium, rare or rare. You do you. Medium is where I find the most pleasure in a state. My steak was served rare in the seasoning was nonexistent.

A friend suggested this place for dinner and I honestly had my reservations.  Dinner at a brewery sounded like chicken wings and fries but Senate Avenue Brewery blew my mind with a restaurant worthy menu. I had the braised short rib with mashed potatoes (go ahead a take a sec to wrap your mind around that. I'll wait) followed by a refreshing and generous helping of raspberry sorbet that was the perfect palette cleanser for the end of a flavorful meal. The short rib was insanely tender, cutting easily with my knife, with just enough sauce to coat each piece of meat as I cut into it and a few mushroom caps sprinkled in there. I could've used more mash for sure but that's a personal preference as I'm a potato girlie. The cheese curds were crunchy and the pretzel bites were pillowy soft. I have no complaints about my meal nor the atmosphere of the brewery. It's a large, open space with high ceilings to carry the sound throughout. It was bright and loud which I fully expected but it wasn't off-putting. Everyone we encountered was kind and helpful and at the end of the night as they were gearing to close, the runner came and asked if we wanted any dessert before the kitchen closed. That's how I ended up with the sorbet lol. I'd definitely come back. There were a couple things on the menu I'd like to try.

Before I came here, I found some menus online and knew what I was going to order before I came in - only to find that the menu had apparently changed, and my pick was no longer on the list. Sad.

Turns out, though, that a lot of the food here is excellent, and I enjoyed my meal thoroughly. Would I have still liked ordering the steak? Sure, but the brat that I ordered was on point, the pork rinds were good, and the burgers were also delicious.

Of course, as it's a brewery, we wanted to try some of the drink variety - and were also very happy with our options. A lot of breweries have plenty of heavy IPA options, but we were very happy with the lager and porter options.

The brewery seemed to lean into a Houston Dynamo aesthetic, which I appreciate even though there wasn't a game on, and I hope you can go there to watch the Dash too.

We met up with friends to catch up. It was too hot to sit outside so we picked a big table by the bar. The food was very tasty. I had a ginger beer mocktail. Ambiance: Fun, large brewery with an indoor and outdoor space and TONS of activities from indoor arcade games to outdoor mini golf, pickleball, and more. Great brewery for a meetup, fun Saturday with friends, or hanging out.

Patio/outdoor space is giant with lots of seating options. We loved the decor and game options. Expansive beer selection, including a few wine and non-beer options. We loved the music playing (Creed and Nickleback while we were there!)

Nice venue to grab a drink with a good selection of beers to choose from. They have a indoor seating and a large outdoor pavilion with picnic tables in the shade, so it's a good place for a large group. There's plenty of activities to keep the kiddos busy, including basketball court, and a large lawn to play soccer. We went on a Saturday morning and the food trailers were not open yet, so we needed to make lunch plans elsewhere, but we all enjoyed our time there.

A great experience! The staff, food, and whole experience were amazing! The bartender was very friendly, made great recommendations, and overall, we had a great chat with him. The rose cider I ordered was the perfect mix of rose flavor with the crispness of cider. The thai burger I ordered with the truffle fries and o my goodness what the burger one of the best things I have ever had. Sweet, salty, spicy and tangy, all the things you look forward to but between buns. The truffle fried where also very delicious but after starting our meals we realized quickly it was a lot of food! Looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu!

Went to the brewery on Mother’s Day during a super cute plant event and had such a great time! The indoor space was cool (literally – hello, AC!), spacious, and even dog-friendly. The beers were solid, with good options for different tastes, and the vibe was just right for a chill day with friends or family.

Everything felt really well put together, and the atmosphere was super welcoming. Only thing that wasn’t so great? The pinball machines were fun, but kinda pricey. Still, it didn’t take away from the awesome experience — can’t wait to go back!

Parking: They have a huge gravel lot and I see people parking on the street when it gets filled up.

A huge taproom with pinball machines inside, split into pet- friendly and pet- restricted areas! They have a small patio as well. I went for an open house where they catered some barbecue and got to try the Final Boss (Tropical) edition, which was a great fruity and not too hoppy IPA.

Super friendly people and they are open to having outside catering for events which is very cool. There is usually a food truck outside.

Eureka Heights Brew Co. has a relaxed, laid-back vibe with plenty of space to hang out. We went on bingo night hosted by Nerdtropolis and had a blast! There are tons of pinball machines, and everything—from drinks to games—is very reasonably priced. Great spot for a fun night out!

I had a great time at Eureka Heights Brew Co! I tried the 713 Pilsner, a refreshing German-style Pilsner that was perfect for the hot Houston weather. We discovered Equal Parts Brewing through Harvest Host while traveling in our motorhome. Hip casual ambiance with a green thumb. The fiddle fig is beautiful!  The servers are friendly and knowledgeable.   We tried a couple samples and I landed on a Sueño 3.5 abv and my husband had the All Malt Classic. They were tasty and cold. We each had two more. The local run club had their meeting there and some had their dogs with them. Pietastic was there with some of their pies, other baked goods and some samples and I got a slice of bourbon pecan pie. I like how they showcase local business and community. It was lovely evening.   We would definitely return to imbibe again! Delicious!

They have a large and diverse selection of beers on draft.  Really enjoyed the different pour styles on the Czech Pils - awesome beer. Such an incredible place with a wonderful atmosphere. Sarah was such as great enjoyment and so very pleasant. She helped the place go from great to fantastic. All the beer we tried was very good. Ambiance: Super fun space themed brewery with really cool lights, decor, and art scattered around inside. They have merch available & ample seating, including a bar area and couches/tables. Games available to play near the couches. There is also an outdoor patio space and bar is very dog friendly!

All of the beers we tried were amazing! I personally loved Jupiter Drops - an IPA with lactose (so unique!) and the other IPA we tried was also very good. You do have to pay for taste samples, which seemed a bit eh if you're visiting for the first time and just trying 1 or two beers before committing...

Great smaller brewery spot in the EADO area. I would go back for sure and bring one of my dogs!

I had the BBA Heat Shields (Belgian Quad 12.5%), and it was awesome. Probably one of the best dark ales I've had. Absolutely loved the rich flavour and chocolate notes. I also tasted Light the Lamp (Canadian Red Ale 5.5%), which was very good too. True Anomaly is a stone's throw from the George R. Brown Convention Centre, so you conference people know where to get your beer. A shout out to the bartender Alec, who was super friendly, and it was really nice chatting with him.

One of my favorite breweries in Houston! Has a decent sized parking lot along with street parking. I visited Walking Stick last month for the first time and will definitely be back ASAP!  Great taproom decorated with lovely live floral installations hanging from the ceilings. The place itself is great for hanging out. The location is fantastic. To my taste, the beer was just OK. I had an APA and it was fine. I then had a Pilsner and I didn't like it, didn't finish it. I was surprised they had no IPAs on tap. They had about 7 beers on tap, which I thought was a small selection for a brewery. I am a hophead so I am biased, but it is not a place I would recommend for their beers.

We recently hosted a Hippie Dippie event at Frost Brewing Company as part of my work as an ambassador with The Beauty Boost—and it was such a great experience! The upstairs space has a beautiful view overlooking the brewery room, with plenty of comfortable seating and a relaxed vibe. There’s also a large outdoor area that was perfect for mingling.

The drinks were not only delicious but also super reasonably priced (a rare combo!), and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They really got into the energy of our event and made us feel welcome from start to finish.

Frost is an awesome venue with lots of flexibility for events of all kinds. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a spot that’s laid-back, fun, and community-focused!

I've only been here twice but at least I know not to order food from here. Last weekend my family celebrated my mom's birthday and I ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich, we almost ate the entire thing when we noticed it was completely raw from the middle. Pretty rad spot to hang out for a quick beer and a bite - they’ve got food trucks all the time it seems. It’s in a very central location and the surrounding area is very walkable with a decent amount of stuff to see. The beer was solid and there was quite a bit of outdoor activities available at the time too - great for families with kids.

My son drug me here, really glad he did, great beer, food and atmosphere. The only thing i'd do different would be have more food trucks on site, the 3 that were there the day we went were very good. We shared a plate of slab fries...waffle cut...with lots of toppings, and a Cuban sammy done right from Eatsie Boys. We shared a half pound of tender delectable pork ribs and a half pound of moist end brisket that was very tender, lots of flavor and nice bark, made by Buck's BBQ. You can sample the beers they have on tap, when you have great product like they do, free samples will sell it. I enjoyed a coffee beer concoction that was very nice, my son had another great beer which i'd sampled too, it's name shall remain nameless 'cause I can't remember....I'm not much of a beer guy but places like this may change that.

Very cool interior with a chill outdoor area. They’ve got games around the brewery and drinks are fantastic. If you go out the back, there’s plenty of seating and cool spots to take some photos. Love the sculptures and the We Love Houston sign.

Now for my standard comments. Interior is kept clean and seating is comfortable. Outdoor seating is pretty big as well.

I had the thc hibiscus margarita and it was delicious! It was tart but sweet at the same time. Place has a chill vibe. No food but there are food trucks/stands right outside.

This place reminds me of Austin in many ways. Came here with my nephew to have a couple of beers and they did not disappoint. There are so many things to do here unlike most breweries. I will say their swag could be improved but it is what it is. There are also statues nearby which are really neat to look at. Parking was a little bit of a challenge but make sure to park across the street where it says it's $5. You can also pay via your phone so it's not a hassle at all. I will return in the spring/summer time when it's not chilly.

Always love to visit a Saucer, and this doesn't disappoint!  The BEST Mojo wings made in the entire company!!  And, as always, killer beer choices!
